Edible Lab
Spring 2023
As both a student participant and the co-curator
of the exhibition Edible Lab in Liwan, I had
the privilege of collaborating with talented
artists and designers. Throughout a semester-long
project, we delved into the rich narratives surrounding
13 unique ingredients. This Liwan exhibition takes
you on a captivating journey through time, history,
science, culture, money, mythology, legend, art and
ultimately bringing us back to the heart of the kitchen.
The showcased works celebrate the intertwining of intangible
and tangible heritage, offering compelling oral histories and
personal narratives. From recipes and rituals to feasts,
celebrations, superstitions, and even a bit of grandmothers’
advice, the exhibition invites you to delve into the intricate
tapestry of food culture.
